Literature Carts are Really a Vast Spy Network
by HiddenPimo ini am not sure if this is getting into the tin foil hat arena, but what if one of the reasons for the carts is to spy out who is leading a double life and to catch the pimo's?
they are everywhere in common public areas.
like the stasi of e. germany.. i know i may be reaching, but we all know the way zealous j dubs love to rat out anyone who steps out of line.. they can't be there to place literature, because no one is taking it.

How Do They Chose Someone To Be A Member Of The Illustrious Governing Body?
by Brokeback Watchtower ini'm mean were talking making someone a policy maker for the corporation that can have serious financial consequences.
i'm sure intelligence is not high on the priority list for this noble office being they hate higher education and consider it a waste of time.. i'm sure they would thoroughly know the party line as any self respecting mind control would never choose an original thinker.
i'm also sure a lot of ass kissing happens before one gets chosen as a ass wiping helper which seem to be a sort of initiation into governing body corporate politics and a sort of proving ground to show your determination protect the organization from the enemy be they what ever source.

Appreciating a glass or two of fine scotch whisky would be a requirement I suppose.
Then they would spin the bottle using it like the Urim and Thummim.

I always imagined it this way. People would choose to be kind and thoughtful. No one would hurt the earth because they didn't want to. Dead animals would be cleaned up by omnivores that didn't hunt but scavenged. Each one could contribute their own talents.
The WT sees it this way.
They are up above everyone and tell others what to do.
The earthly ones go to meetings and make sure that all of the resurrected shave their beards and wear what everyone else is wearing. They study because there are "new" scrolls that the anointed (the ones that never got a chance to lord it over others while on earth) make sure the earthly ones excruciatingly go over point by point.

"I don't want to hear any negative comments about the truth"
by days of future passed intoday the "anointed" sister that drops off tracts at my house, did a little i'll just stop by and show her a website about furniture and then offer the memorial tract visit.. her exhusband is a jw that did terrible things to her by taking property, didn't want to pay adequate child support and had the elders on his side.
she was telling me all about how, because he felt so guilty, now he had intestinal problems.
eventually the conversation ended and she offered the memorial tract to me.. "did you get an invitation?

Ahh complicated truths. This "sister" and I go back to childhood. There are many things about her that would fill a book. But at this point, I wish she would never come again. As with most JW's, they are allowed to say whatever they want, but if you bring up a "truth", they immediately act as if they have all the authority to shut you up.
She also made up the excuse of showing me a website when in reality, she wanted to give me a tract. She wants to count time and "help" me. Nothing says the truth like having a hidden agenda.

What Does the WTS say is the mark for survival of Armaggeddon--Baptism
by blondie inhttps://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1974604?q=mark+baptism&p=par.
if you have not yet come to know and to accept as a way of life the righteous decrees of jehovah, you have no time to lose.
you must act quickly if you are to stand before jehovah’s executional forces with the mark of true christian identification.

Jehovah examines all the billions of human hearts and knows how rare such individuals are.
1. This makes a JW feel special.
2. I'm not good at math so I won't even try but.....if people are so rare that want to worship Jehovah, why is he waiting around for so long? The odds must be really small of more of these "rare" individuals coming along.
3. Jehovah isn't good at making quality products and so you only get a "good" one now and again.
4. Jehovah's way of life isn't much of a draw for most humans.

How would you reason with a family member who says...

Throw the question back. How is it better than Christendom?
I got a flier for some church. They offer music, singing, children's jump houses and free donuts! Free donuts. When did the WT ever give out free food?

A film on the Amish and those that leave
by days of future passed init's a simple but telling film of two families that leave the amish.
they experience what jw's do when leaving.
the film maker has a slow but interesting view of what goes on in the amish religion as well as the challenges that the two families have.

blondie - I'm not sure if the first link is what you wanted. Maybe the stories have cycled past the one you wanted.
I read the second article. Pretty much is what many go thru with believing the "truth" is not the truth, but still living it. Some can toss it, but others take longer to finally put it to rest.
Will have to check out the series later.
Thanks.

Today the "anointed" sister that drops off tracts at my house, did a little I'll just stop by and show her a website about Furniture and then Offer the Memorial Tract visit.
Her exhusband is a JW that did terrible things to her by taking property, didn't want to pay adequate child support and had the Elders on his side. She was telling me all about how, because he felt so guilty, now he had intestinal problems. Eventually the conversation ended and she offered the memorial tract to me.
"Did you get an invitation?" she asked.
Yes, I'm not going.
Oh didn't you go with J and D last year?
No, I went with them several years ago. I'm not going.
Oh ok.
I said that because of what happened with my brother in law - and I explained how a sister had asked about a brother to see if he was ok to date, a letter was sent to his congregation. Nothing in the letter said that this brother had molested anyone and the sister married him and her granddaughter was molested by him.
She just shook her head. I said the brothers knew, the society knew and my brother in law found that they don't tell anyone. At this point, she related how one brother in the past was found to have molested a child, left and went to San Francisco and then died of Aids. (like that was a punishment from God so nothing need more done with it)
I said I just want to warn you that there is going to be stuff coming out about it My brother in law found it was just the tip of an iceberg.
At this point, she smiled and shook her head. "I don't want to hear anything negative about the truth" She started down my steps.
I said just like the Catholics they...
Oh come on. No negative things! She said it like she was Mary Poppins singing Just a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down... with a smile and a wagging finger.
She left saying that she always thinks of my brother in law and my sister with sadness and prays to Jehovah to take care of things. (my brother in law, sister, their children and me left)
So after knowing about not only previous incidents, but also how rotten her ex husband is (and still gets some privileges) and even admitted to know about my brother in law and what happened - God will take care of everything and No Negative words should be said against the "truth"
